When I Feel God 2

When my heart continues beating
As ever…
When the spiritual channel clears
And my divine inspiration overflows
So that I realize at last
That the Divine intervention
Has been there long ago
When I realize at last
That I am thus saved
When I rejoice overflowing happiness
When is that time?
When I feel the breath
And see the smiles
Of the people I love
When I see happiness through
Their laughter and cheers
Then I know God is here with me
Even when they complain
Even when they badger
He raises them up from the falls
So they can rise up against odds
And find new strength
It is then when I feel the breath of God
When the fruit of labor is bigger than expectation
When my understanding goes out
Beyond physical sense
Finding an answer for my old homework
And my heart
full with enlightenment
Tagore once said
What I longed to say
“Let me feel the breath of God only when I fare well”
I too won’t pray not just for my welfare
But for the strength, effort and courage to grasp it
And for equality, fairness and harmlessness
It is when I pray so
Someday
I will see more friends
As I feel God
It is when I pray that they can feel God together
Their hearts in tune with one another
